These refresher tips for Roofing builders are targeted to those who are preparing your upcoming house build. Remember, it's gonna be hot up there on the roof, so we recommend you to prepare yourself with the following:
- Ensure you are confident enough to climb up to the roof as it as the most dangerous task of the build. Make sure your team leader is informed before you ascend
- Wear long sleeves and long pants (although it's hot, it protects you from massive sunburning!)
- Remember to constantly drink water when you're up there and take breaks and come down into the shade when you're feeling unwell
- Put on your sun block!
- Focus on and confirm with an experienced builder if unsure, the configuration of the Onduline sheets when overlapping one on top of another
- Reduce error of nailing out of alignment as much as possible - be really sure when you're measuring and estimating where the purlin beneath is!
